Angelo's Coal Oven Pizzara

If you're in midtown area, and you want a yummy meal but don't want to pay all that much then Angelo’s is the perfect restaurant for you. It’s also great for sharing, as there are individual and family sized portions.

The best part is the brick oven pizzas.  Toppings include, mushrooms, olives, sun dried tomatoes, broccoli, sausage, anchovies, peppers and ricotta. But be careful, they cost $2.50 each regardless of whether they are on half or whole pizza. Prosciutto as a topping costs $3.75.

The small pizza is $15.00 and the large is $17.00. Get the large if you’re sharing it with three or more people. The worst thing is that you end up taking it home and have a delicious treat for lunch tomorrow.

The salads are delicious. My favorite is the insalata mista but I recommend getting it with the honey vinaigrette dressing.

Oh and if pasta is more to your liking there's lots of selections ranging from pappardelle alla toscanese to the fettuccini carbonara which is spinach fettuccini with carbonara sauce, green peas, wild mushrooms and pancetta.

Make sure to share your main entrée so you have room for the best part of the meal. There’s only a handful of desserts but there should be something for everyone. They have cannolis, cheesecake, gelato and tiramisu, tortufu, and sorbet.  My personal favorite is the black & white chocolate mouse cake.
