Coffee shop is a perfect restaurant if you want to go somewhere trendy but also want comfort food.
Sit at the bar surrounded by hot bartenders if you want to people watch or have a glass of red wine. Options include a Malbec from Argentina ($9), Cabernet from California ($10), and Pinot Noir from California ($11). Whites include an Italian Pinto Grigio ($7), a Chardonnay from Argentina ($8) and a Sancerre from France ($48/bottle).
Beer drinkers will appreciate the choice of bottled beers including: Amstel Light ($6), Heineken ($6), Corona ($6), Red Stripe ($6), Budweiser ($5), and Blue Moon ($6). On Tap Beers include Sam Adams ($6), Stella Artois ($6), and Hoegarden ($6).
Specialty drinks include a delicious Brazilian caipirinha made with limes or strawberries, cachaca, sugar and crushed with ice ($9), frozen margarita ($10) and a cachaca shooter made with fresh squeezed lime juice with cachaca ($7).
For a light appetizer try the grilled chicken skewers with a cilantro citrus glaze ($8.95) or a seasonal mixed green salad with a light lemon vinaigrette ($7.95).
Seafood lovers will appreciate the raw bar. Oysters chilled on the half shell (1/2 dozen min) are $2.25 each and little neck clams are $1.25 each. Seafood entrees include grilled salmon with sweet corn & asparagus ($18.95) or a seafood paella with clams, shrimp, half a lobster and the fish of the day ($24.95).
Comfort food includes the BBQ chicken sandwich with a low-fat cilantro lime mayonnaise ($10.95) or try a deluxe char-grilled burger with herb fries or a mixed green salad with a light lemon vinaigrette ($11.95).
Noteworthy side dishes include brazilian kale ($4), plantains ($4), sauteed spinach ($4.50) and red or black beans ($5.50).
For dessert treat yourself to Coffee Shop's delicious famous banana creme pie ($7), a pineapple upside down cake ($7), passion crepes ($7), homemade chocolate pudding ($7) or a vermont maple syrup flan ($7).
Sit at the bar if you want quick service and don't come here during peak hours if you really want to hear your date's conversation.
