What a horrible place to deal with-

I ate at the restaurant once, and it was decent. So the food gets a star. HOWEVER<
I tried to make a reservation for a party. I confirmed with one person who made no record of it. I visited and was shown the space we could use, which was fine, and told the owner we want it. I called and was told to email. I emailed w. specs, got a form response, sent the form and got 2 more. I called twice and finally got a call back from the co-owner who said she couldn't open my emails (unlike the hundred other people I write to), was unaware of my prior contacts, and I couldn't use the room I wanted. I wouldn't trust them an inch.

Once you step through the door, you already feel like you walked into a different world. You feel the Indian vibe and culture once you step in. The food is just as great as the service, it doesn't get better than this. And any kind of money spent here, is well worth it, believe me. This has to be one of Brookly'ns best kept secrets.

This is our second time in this place, I have to be agree the food is good, the atmosphere is warming, for the cocktail they have good mixes, we start by the cod fritters (Accra de morue) it was crunchy and fluffy inside, the soup was carrot, cilantros, coconut and ginger and to be honest that was delight, like a four star restaurant taste. the couscous royal was ok, and the fish of the day , bronzini au chermoula made my night,, the price of the mezzes went up little bit, but the portion also was bigger, on a busy night we can't complaint for the servicewe got, go Kif, go Kif , it will make a different with the alluring dishes in Fort greene.
Pros: good for date, good vegetarian option
Cons: too small in the winter

I live in Fort Greene and I finally found my favorite restaurant. We had lamb tangine, crab cakes, and hummus and everything was good. Drinks were good too. Excellent service, very pleasant atmosphere.
Pros: tangine
Cons: nothing
I wouldnt eat there again if it was a free meal!

Keep in mind I am very easy to please when it comes to my dining experience being I have been involved in many restaurants as a partner and also enjoy dining out very much . I would like to first state that it is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my life for someone to actually come on this site and give themselves a good review so keep that in mind and I am sure that there will be a reply with the attempt to raise the rating after my review but dont fall into the trap , you will only be disappointed . I went out to dine and as said in the review prior to this one I recieved the same plate and service . With that being known when the Tuna fritters came out I recomended that we leave but we stayed . The first thing I took a bite out of on my main plate was the mashed potatoes and they were cold , then I took a bite of the short ribs and they were not bad at all to be honest but at that point I was totally disgusted and did not even eat any more of the plate at all . We paid the bill and asked to speak to the owner after the waitress did not even aknowledge the fact we answered her question " how was the food" with the answer HORRIBLE. The owner came up and I agreed to let my date address the subject of horrible service and food. The owner did not finish listening to the first addressed comment before the so called chef came over and interupted the conversation in a aggresive manner. I let the conversation keep going as he stated that they order nothing but the finest Crab and he would show us , well that never happened because of the outburst and rage he started to show . Now at that point I stated that maybe he should learn how to be a man and not raise his voice to a woman , I guess he didnt like that much and told me I was looking for trouble . Now by all means every restaurant that I have ever been to or owned would not tolerate a employee speaking to customers in that manner . Go eat here and find out for yourself what it is like to be disappointed.
Pros: if you like to be upset this is the place to go!
Cons: is there enough space to explain them all here?
