Becky's Pub: Wings, sports and juke boxes
If wings, sports, and juke boxes are your thing, then Becky’s Pub is your bar. On a recent Monday night, usually a slow night in New York City, the bar was hopping. The crowd, which consisted of businessmen coming to grab a drink after work, also included a few 20-somethings.
One of the best parts of the bar is the jukebox, which includes tunes from musicians ranging from Melissa Etheridge to Phil Collins. If you can't find anything in the box, there was also a guitarist on Wednesday night playing a variety of songs ranging from Billy Joel to Ricky Martin.
If you’re a beer drinker, then you found heaven on earth. On draft are a number of beers, including Old Speckled Hen and local brews like the Six Points Ale.
Sports games are a big draw. There are 19 television monitors, including 10 flat-screen TVs and a 56-inch rear projection screen. Hidden in the back of the bar are darts, so if you’re not into watching the game, you have something else to keep you busy.
Becky's is certainly the perfect place to pig out. The pub's bar chow includes chicken wings, chicken fingers, guacamole burgers and the pub's famous chicken nachos. The waffle fries are also a favorite.
Becky's also serves food until late, so if you have a late-night craving, Becky’s is the pub to go to. Enjoy the Pint of the Day for $3 during happy hour, when prices also drop on Buds and Bud Lights, house wine and well drinks.
