When: December 3, 2009

This is not an all day event

Description:
Our regular monthly dinner gathering in Manhattan. Informal get-together for Satanists, Luciferians, "Dark" Pagans, and "Left Hand Path" occultists of all law-abiding kinds, plus open-minded people interested in learning about the many forms of Satanism, Luciferianism, "Dark" Paganism, and LHP occultism. (The organizer is a non-LaVeyan theistic Satanist.) Note our venue, new as of several months ago. (Name and exact location further down on this page.) Still a diner, with similar pricing, but somewhat better food and close to more subways. It's on 23rd Street between 6th and 7th Avenues, closer to 7th. The nearest subway stop is 23rd Street on the 1, 2, and 3 lines (7th Avenue). Other nearby subway stops are 23rd Street on the F line (6th Avenue), and 23 Street on the E and C lines (8th Avenue). We'll be meeting at a table in the BACK of the diner. Please ask a waiter about "Diane Vera's meetup." At least one or two of us, though probably not most of us, will be wearing black shirts and/or point-down pentagram pendants of some kind. (If you arrive early and are the first to arrive, please have a seat in the BACK of the diner and let the waiter know that you are here for "Diane Vera's meetup.") Newcomers are welcome. Diane Vera, the organizer, will make a point of welcoming all who arrive and encouraging all attendees to tell the rest of us a bit about themselves and their beliefs, to facilitate conversation. Although our meetings are informal, we do aim to have substantive conversation about our beliefs and practices, rather than just random chit chat. Note: The diner where we're meeting now charges a $5 per person mininum. Please RSVP as soon as you can, with at least a "maybe" if you can't yet say "yes" or "no." The more people RSVP early, the bigger and better our meetups will be, because a reasonably large number of early RSVP's will let other visitors to this site know that we are indeed a live group where they will actually meet some people. If you RSVP "maybe," we would appreciate it very much if you could then change your RSVP to a "yes" or "no" by no later than at least a few days before the event, so that we can have a better idea how big a table to reserve. DV will be calling the diner to reserve a table two or three days before the event. As we grow bigger, we may eventually begin holding more formal meetings with specific topics for discussion, in addition to the informal social gatherings we are holding now. As our group continues to grow, hopefully some of us can eventually organize congregations that get together for rituals. DV would like to form a local congregation of the Church of Azazel. Others may wish to form groups centered around other paradigms. Diane Vera, the organizer, is a non-LaVeyan theiistic Satanist. She maintains a website on theistic Satanism, including the page Attention, New Yorkers! (for theistic Satanists in and near New York City).
