Girls Prep Charter School Reviews

I have personally seen how the school works both inside and out. I am not a parent of this school but I highly recommend sending your daughter here! Only thing I wished is that the administration was more organized and well as verbal on what is going on in the school with all students/staff and parents alike. other than that they are GREAT! The teachers have a great heart and the programs they offer and just wonderful.

My daughter will be going into her 3rd yr fall 08 at girls prep. She loves it and so do I. The teachers are very ethusiastic about teaching and knowing the girls and their families. The girls are all being taught well above average they are diciplined and being shown the benefits of siterhood, merit and respect. Main con is overcrowded class.

We re parents of a kindergartener at Girl s Prep Charter School and at first we were skeptical of all the strict rules; however as the year has gone by we can now say, Thank you, Ms. Chase & Ms. Foley. Ladies, you were great and we appreciated having both of you as our daughter s first grade teachers. My daughter is going to the first grade knowing how to tell time, count money, read on her own, complete math problems and an array of other skills . The school is about to transition into a new location, and we are excited. This school is great!

The school has great potential, great teachers and great spirit from the girls. The administration on the other hand is terrible...they are often dishonest and look down on the parents. Academics is better than your average public school.....but like most charter schools we share space with other schools....no big deal...but this is an all girls school....the girls come into contact with boys daily.....the school needs their own building

This school is wonderful. My daughters are 2nd and 3rd grades there and they love it. Y 3rd grader is taking spanish and she loves it . Aside from gym the girls are also taking up yoga. When they started they had a hard time reading but now they just loves book and are both very good readers.

This is an amazing neighborhood school, however if you are traveling for more than an hour it is not worth it. The classes are overcrowded but the teacher work very hard to help each student and to maintain order. The school shares the building with another school and space is vey limited. My daughter attended the school for 2 years however she will not be returning in the fall. The school is not diverse enough and I feel this is a major problem. Despite the cons the schools academics are better than great. All enter first graders have a good grasp of reading and the work is at least a half a year ahead of most public schools.
