Hoboken Catholic Academy Reviews

This school is quickly going down hill. The principal refuses to rectify disciplinary problems, even with several parents complaining. The atmosphere is not religious anymore, it is more like a bad public school. The academics are substandard. The parent community is a miserable, snivelling, gossipy, rude and petty bunch. Stay away from this school is the best advice we can give you.

Wonderful school. Academically challenging and instills Christian/Catholic values in every day classes and activities. The teachers are dedicated and concerned about every student. Miss Dolan is a wonderful principal. Send your children here. You will not regret it.

As a graduate of 2005, I have experience a lot in this school that has given me a brighter future & has helped me a lot in my school year. It is a great school for kids to enroll in. the staff gives its own way to help any student.

My children have attended this school since its founding as a consolidation of all the Catholic schools in Hoboken in 1999. My oldest got excellent high school admission test scores, acceptances at all the High Schools she applied to plus several scholarships. The school is a traditional Catholic school, safe, strict, orderly, disciplined. Compared with the area public schools, the students are polite and well-mannered. The top-notch principal maintains a high level of academic excellence. They learn a lot, get lots of homework, and do very well on standarized tests. It is very old-fashioned, not for those who like it loose and modern. They have an excellent sports program, volleyball, basketball, etc., and a great music and drama program, aftercare, summer, hot lunch. Parents do a lot of fundraising. They are involved, but they don't have a lot of input, it's mostly dictated by the archdiocesean rules/tradition, but it works!
