Brookdale Christian School Reviews

So sorry to hear that the school is closing. It has a great history. I wish the church would have supported the school better and allowed it to continue to reach boys and girls with a strong academic program and the Gospel of Christ!

In the past the school has been excellent. I am just worried about this year due to the size of the first grade class which currently has 26 children and one teacher. We have a new prinicipal which we look forward to seeing how she works.

I am very dissapointed with the school this past year. There is very limited parental involvement with the teachers. Classes are over crowded 25 to 26 students to one teacher. The leadership has declined and extreemly dictatorial. Quality of academic programs have declined tremendously. I am not at all pleased with vision and leadership of this school as it once was.

I'm not a parent but a student, one that has experienced being a student at Brookdale. I left prematurely when my family had to relocate. Since then I have attended 4 schools and none compare to Brookdale. It is a good school to lay the Christian and educational foundation for your children, one that I appreciate already. I am a freshman in college and would love to send my kids to Brookdale when I have some. This might sound cheesy but Brookdale Christian School really is the finest school around!

My children attended a total of 3 years in this school and it's fair to say that it is an o.k. school that still has a long way to go in developing the quality of education it has to offer. They lack activities to offer well roundedness of the students and I feel that the school should offer programs to help both the more gifted kids as well as those who needed extra help. It also bothered me that the school staff doesn't stay 'stable' for so long. Every year there are always teachers leaving which then accounts for the fluctuations of the quality the school renders. For the amount that you will be paying for this school, I think you'll get a better result in a good, solid public school which offers a wide range of oppotunities to develop both academically, personally and yes, spiritually (provided you involve yourself as a parent).

Last year was the first year that my sons attended BCS and I must say that they exceeded any and all expectations. The school provides such great learning and nurturing environment that fostered my children's academic and spiritual development. If I had to comment on something not so positive is the lack of extra activities for all the children. I assume the lack is due to small amount of children in attendance, but I would not trade that for anything. BCS is a great school for anyone parent looking to have their child grow in the right direction.

This is a high quality school. They expect and get the best out of their students. The teachers and principle really care and are kind and firm. The students are held to a high standard of academic acheivement and get such specialized attention because the classes are so small! Last year was my daughter's first year and she was made to feel right at home. The children are so nice to each other. It is a very kind and loving atmosphere. I would recommend this school to anyone.
