St. Anastasia School Reviews

I love this school it is funn and the teachers are really nice!! I am in middle school, these years are the most important! I have great teachers to help me get ready for high school!

i attended st anastasias for 7 years. it was good at the beggining. then the new principle took over. everything became a mess! teachers are unable to control students! there is very little hw. & they are not preparing you well for high school. that is why i left the school. when i went to the other school, i was behind in math. this is not the place it used to be.

I have been attending this school all my life and for parts of my life it was decent buy for the most part it was honestly horrible. One year we had a teacher where we could do just about anything we wanted to do. There was chaos in the classroom and no one to stop them. Students would be sent to the principal's office for minor misbehavior where the prprincipla would do just about nothing and send us back to the classroom.

This year I am graduating from St. A's and I have been attending this school since I was five years old. Therefore, I have seen a lot happen in this school. For the first few years, this was an excellent school to attend. The teachers were friendly, taught us well, and I learned lots. Now once I hit junior high, and a new principal replaced the old one, everything seemed to go downhill. Many of the students began to lack in discipline and structure. Teachers were unable to control the students from doing simple things such as chewing gum. Also, the school began to see a mixture of good and bad teachers. I wouldn't exactly suggest sending your child to this school. St. Anastasia is not what it used to be. It is just another NYC public school with the exception that we wear a uniform and pay a tuition.

I've been a student at St.As for 7 years. We have no music classes, and very little extracurricular activities. Although most of our teachers are pretty well rounded in their fields, some have needed help from the students themselves. Our principal has not given students proper discipline, as many students feel they can get away with bad behavior. Our academics however, are quite decent, as over 10 scholarships were received in my class. Still, our school has large room for improvement.

St. Anastasia's cares about the academic and spiritual education of its students. It's a family and all are welcome!

An academically focused school. 98% of the teachers have a masters degree from highly acredited schools. This school has a small student body so students are given individualized attention from both teachers and principal. More extracurricula activities needed.
