Eltingville Lutheran School Reviews

Small and wonderful. If you ever wanted one on one attention this school is capable to do just that!

My son is in his second year at ELS ans I have to say I am extreamly pleased. At 1st I was unsure if a privite school would be better then public but now I know I made the right choice. He loves going to schools and is always upset when schools is closed. All the descriptions written below are correct and accurate. They have so much to offer for a small school. If you are considering a private school put ELS on your short list!

I am a student at e.l.s. and it's great I have been going there for 4 years and I love it so much I wish it went to high school. If your looking for a kind, smart, school then come to e.l.s. we are lacking the number of students so come to an open house ,chourus concert,or anything and you'll see how great this school is!E.L.S. has chourus, band, soccer, softball, baseball, afterschool program, art class, and computer so if your looking for a great learning school come here!

Both of my children have spent all of their elementary education years at ELS. My son graduated last year and is in Honors at Farrell and doing very well. This is an exceptional school. All of the teachers, from every grade, know all of the students. My kids could not have had a more enriching experience and a better education. I highly recommend it. Michael A.

Having a child in High School after spending her elementary years at ELS has made me thankful that I made the right decision for her. She breezed through Freshman year, academically ahead of her friends who attended larger Catholic schools. More importantly, she is a well-rounded, caring individual who loved going to school. I thank ELS every day for a wonderful foundation.

This is only my first year at ELS and I am beyond happy! My son is in Kindergarten and is learning so much. He is already reading, loves math and is learning Spanish too! He loves going to school and being there. He knows a lot of the teachers by name besides his own and he always says hello to the principal. This impressed me from a 5 yr old. I love how the older kids know who he is. The parent involvement is wonderful. I go to PTA meetings and events at the school. I can't wait for my daughter to attend ELS as well. I know my children will be safe and cared for while not with me. I'm looking forward to the future years. This school is worth looking into. So glad I did.

This is a great school with loving and caring teachers. Some of the books that the jr high reads are given as reading material in High School. In the math classes in high school the children do extremely well due to the fact that the math that is taught is considered advanced math for the jr high. the lower grade have great teachers who take the time to prepare the students for the years ahead. Being a small school has great advantages: all of the children know each other, the teachers in the upper grade know the students in the lower grades. It makes for a comfortable enviroment where the younger children, even in Pre k, are at ease about school. I have had 1 child who just graduated in honors and is going to a great HS, and 1 child in the lower grades. I couldn't be happier.

Academically they are right on target. Children seem very happy. they have a music program, foreign language starts in grade 2. Waiting for a new gym to be built. Teachers are GREAT! Would like more parent involvment.

My child has attended this school for three years now and I see a steady decline in the principal's participation with the parents. I have great concerns about the structural safety of the building.

The quality of this school is exceptional. The teaching ratio unbeatable compared to other local and city schools. As a parent, I can honestly say that the staff and the parents of each child are beyond others expectations. Working with the school and the staff is also a great pleasure. In a family with both parent works, they do take great deals in cooperating with time schedules and meetings. I guess the old adage is right on the money You get what you pay for .

ELS is a fabulous school, the education provided is first rate and its small enough that every teacher knows your child! It consistently outperforms the other schools on standardized tests and send 8th grade graduates on to top High Schools, many with scholarships. The afterschool program is terrific, teachers run the program and children do their homework and interact socially with others. It's great for us working parents we know where are children are and what they are doing. In this day and age, a school that gives a great education and provides a loving, caring and safe environment is a great place to be. I am thankful every day for ELS and what it gives my children.

eltingville lutheran school has provided a family atmosphere for my child. They have a great curriculum. the staff and parents really care. Yes its small but it's freindly and caring enviromnet supplies alot. they have soccer, chorus ,computers, spanish and band. my daughter thanked me because she loves her school.
