Opened in September of 2006, Rebecca School is a work in progress. Slow progress, nonetheless, progress. It continues to lack in an implementation of a strong academic curriculum. It's strength lies in implementing the Floortime/DIR method to rehabilitate the students. Professional staff turnover is HIGH. Does not use any kind of behavioral modification. From the most severe to the mildest form of behavior, all behavior is viewed as a form of communication. With less staff turnover, improved academic/curriculum, and continued therapeutic program, Rebecca has a long way to go.
