Fort Lee High School Reviews

This school is a joke and the people running it are the punch line there is no way this school can actually be taken serious.

This school does not care about its students. A school of this size and with the types of students attending should be upper tier but its mismanagement by the school board brings down the students who should be the focus being that it is a school.

The biggest mistake of my life was choosing to go to Fort Lee High School. I had options to go to many other catholic/private schools in the area, but I decided that FLHS was a better choice for me, but they have done nothing but ruin my entire high school career. They do not want to deal with the kids that actually need their help, whether their issues be in school or outside of school, because that would actually require the administrators to actually do some type of job. All they do is try to help out the kids that are already doing well. There is an absolute lack of commincation between head administrators, teachers, and guidance counslers. For example, absenses may be excused, but the teacher's will not be informed of it, so they will drop you anyway. Over all, worst school in the area. Definitely went downhill.

I just want everyone to know that I will not be acknowledging Fort Lee High School at all when I get into the college of my choice. This school has never supported me nor made the school-student connection that is expected of all schools. All of my high school attainments were achieved solely by my academic persistence and my unyielding determination to succeed. Four years of disappointment...

A great high school! The school is overcrowded because many people from other places in the world go to this school because our school's education is terrific! You can make new friends instantly and the teachers here are very nice and they know how to control their students and themselves. The number one thing about this school is that it has many extracurricular activities and classes classes to choose from. Including, wide varieties of after school programs. The guidance counselor is very helpful which helps our students throughout their high school lives. Overall, a great school.

I am a recent alumnus of this school, and I have to say things are getting a little hectic. The quality of the education is very good, we have a wide choice of classes to choose within our interest and it is very easy to form a bond with most teachers. Bullying is very little problem, it is taken care of quite well. There are many after school activates to choose from and you can be involved in many. The only problem is our safety rules. It's growing quite hectic. The IDs we wear around our necks is one thing but locking us out of the school during lunch (even in snow), not allowing us to carry backpacks, and even trying to force uniforms upon us- a public school!- is highly unnecessary in our fairly high class society. The school is starting to feel like a prison. Glad I'm done before it gets worse!! Also, for those interest, the school is quite overcrowded.

Great art and music programs, great honors and AP courses as well as a very enthusiastic sports program. The kids are very envolved with the school and are very proud.

Great school, very organized, gave my daughter a warm reception.

I sent my daughter to Fort Lee High School when she first started her freshman year. It was the best decision i had ever made. The school itself is very well presentable and organized. The great amount of discipline taught to the students of Fort Lee High School is outstanding. There are many extra after school activities to choose from such as, music, foods, different types of art programs, photography, and so so much more. I wouldn't ask anything moore of the school, only a little from the parents. At Fort Lee High School there are many opportunities for the parents to get involved and to participate in many programs as well as the students.Fort Lee High School has everything goin for them and the students that are in that school, it will now be the next step for the parents to try to get involved as well.

We are now four years in the Fort Lee School system. I have two children enrolled. We left 8 years of catholic school in Palisades Park, and transferred to Fort Lee. It is the best decision we ever made. My children were so behind academically compared to the public schools here at Fort Lee. The most impressive department of the school has to be the music department. I am so impressed by the Band at Fort Lee. The music director Harry Welte does outstanding work with children at a High School level. They are capable of greater venues than a playing field or school auditorium. They haven't been to Disney in 6 years, and they greatly deserve this experience. It is an honor to have a child that is part of such a wonderful organization. The Board of Education should be commended for having this on their curriculum. Utilize them more.
