Number 1 Elementary School Reviews

I sent my kid to the school from last year. We are very disappointed with its teaching mathods and the passion of the teacher to work closely with students parent. We contacted the teacher of my kid's class several times and tried to communicate with her about progress of our kid, she was reluctant to communicate and did nothing to cooperate with us. we are shocked with the situation.

They do way more than I did in Europe at their age! Truly excellent!

School #1 is a typical suburban school, a bit mediocre for Bergen but likely marginally better than the other ES in Ft. Lee. The music program sometimes needs to be held out in the hall, and the school has had physical maintenance issues. Teachers are a bit mediocre, but are at least dedicated. The principal is a bright woman, but will likely retire within a few years. The whole district has suffered from a few years of mismanagement, from minor gaffes to egregious infractions. This may change with the new superintendent, as the last was simply abominable.

It has truly been a priviledge sending my 2 kids to School Number 1. The teachers and staff there provide consistant support to the students and academically, my kids are doing great. The school environment is safe and comfortable and I guarantee that any parent wanting to send their kids to this school will be satisfied and will recognize success in their childrens' education.
