Garfield Middle School Reviews

I think most of the teachers really try and make the school a good place for the kids to learn. What I don't like is that there are only a few students in honors classes. There are many students that are more than capable of exceeding in these classes but they are not pushed to do so. I also think that all the students should be taking spanish classes. It will better prepare them for high school. Students that need the extra help in reading should stay after for the extra help.

This is a school that has been designated as a Need Improvement Title 1 School. I as a parent of two 7th graders have often questioned my children on the lack of homework given in Math, Reading, Science on a daily basis. They spend more time doing class projects than homework.
