I.S. 7 Elias Bernstein School Reviews

the teachers are awesome espically mr. weber (math) but the school is a little to strict on what to do

Excelent teachers and staff. The best school my son has ever attended as compared to public, private and Catholic. Very high state test scores and excellent curriculum, as a teacher, this school is very student centered. Warm and positive atmosphere.

My son attended IS 7 and had an excellent 3 years there. He was involved in many activities and in student government. His 8th grade class put on a wonderful performance of the play ' The Wizard of Oz' where all students were encouraged to participate. The students had a wonderful and safe time at their prom and all students looked sad of the thought of not seeing their friends after their graduation. I never saw children get along so well at a school. It was really eniightening. If you hear any bad stories about this school feel secure it didnt happen between the years of 2006-2008 because my son attended there and there were few problems. There are alot of paranoid parents on the south shore of Staten Island. Save your money and send your kids to this wonderful school in an upscale section of Staten

It is the best school on Staten Island the teachers and the asst Principal for both grade at nice to my son ever the principal

I'm in 6th grade, and I can tell IS7 is a great school. They have so many afterschool programs, plays, and extra classes. The only problem is there are 8th graders who push 6th graders around in the halls.

I am a parent of a 8th grade student. My daughter has done wonderful in subjects, but especially math. Her 6th and 7th grade math teachers were wonderul. Now she has a full understanding of Math. I also have a son that graduated last year. He also did well. Love this school.

Teachers are good. Unfortunately principal and assistants principal are the worst.

IS7 is a great school. I don't know why parents are complaining about kids not doing their homework, it's their fault. And we do get a huge amount of homework, especially in the 8th grade. Projects non-stop. Most of the teachers are really nice, and theres alot going on such as events, activities and others stuff so you can always have some pretty cool things to choose from. It's overall a great school, with great teachers.

is7 is the worst school. they barely give any work. and when my son gets used to that when they give to much he doesnt do it. if i had to pick any school on staten island to go to i wouldnt pick is7

i love is.7 it is a great place for learning

I.S 7 is the worst intermediate school in Staten Island.

is7 is a great school and the pricipal is wonderful she sets high standards for the children. my daughter is doing wonderful with her grades

IS 7 is a great school! My Son has excelled there. The teachers and staff are great and really care about the children!

This school has helped my son from a horrable first year at IS 2. The staff is great and the school based support team is one of the best if not the best on the Island. They were able to see my sons learning inparement and get him help where in the past in 4 diffrent schools he was denied help resulting in him having a 3rd to 4th grade reading level and countless other problems that have come to light.

I.S. 7 is a wonderful school. My son was transferred here from another island school and almost immediately his attitude and grades increased for the better. The staff was understanding and caring to his needs and to mine as well. Problems, whether it be a problem on the bus to a problem in the class the asst. principals were there to help to resolve the problem. Looking forward to a great 7th grade yr.

I.S.7 was, and still is, a wonderful Junior High School. Not only are the staff members caring, but the education you recieve is uncomparable to any other on Staten Island.

I.S. 7 is the best intermediate school on Staten Island. This is not only my opinion but it is factual. The reading and math citywide scores are the highest on the island. The teachers and administrators are caring and nurturing. My daughter graduated from I.S. 7 in 1996 when the schools population was 700 students. My son is now in 7th grade and the school population is well over 1100 students. He is receiving the same quality education. The small town atmosphere is still there. I thank the staff for their caring and positive approach to education!
