I am in 7th grade, and he knows us very well from the only two years I've been there!” Posted By: student Quality Score: 2 2009-02-19 “I am a 7th grade student at i.S. 24 And i am shocked by the comments that just rave about my school! i feel our principle doesn't do here job, teachers can't control there classes half the time, i don't get to learn anything outside of the curriculum. Maybe it's the mayors fault for forcing teachers to teach such silly things but i would love to learn things deeper and in a more hands on experience. I am not to crazy about my teachers, some of them doubt students abilities far to quickly. I do love gym class, i wish we could have foreign language, gym, and talent (performing arts, computers, media, band, art, stagecraft) more than 2 or 3 times a week. I feel as if our assistant principle, mr. Buerrero seems to be working harder then our principle, mrs. The students are out of control and no one seems to want to learn anything. The students have no respect for the teachers and class time is wasted on the goofs. No ones seems to care if the students barely make grades good enough to pass. The teachers allow students to be rude towards them and the foul language is ridiculous. Its obvious this school needs help. Just look at their national test scores. This neighborhood is made up of upper-middle class families and its a real disappointment that the parents and school dont expect more from the kids. Dont send your child here unless you dont care if they learn anything.”
