P.S. 107 Thomas A Dooley Reviews

This school is amazing. My child graduated this school in 2006. There are many programs for kids to have fun and also work is decent. The teachers are very helpful to all the kids. All materials for a great education and the environment is friendly and safe. Mr. Phair is one of the nicest principals and i'm glad that my child went to such a caring and incredible school.

As the parent of a graduate '97, I only have wonderful comments about the staff and Mr Phair . Mrs Kaufman grade 2 is marvelous and deserves kudos! The IGC program was terrific, even with all the work!

Our daughter is heading into third grade this year and we all are exciting for yet another great year. She was in Mrs. Kaufman's class last year and it could not have been a better match for all. Mrs. Kaufman is one of those veteran teachers who has an innate gift to teach children academics yet also life lessons. She is a rich and giving person and this energy flows into her classroom. Thank you for everything PS 107!

My Daughter graduated from PS 107 3 years ago. I have not One thing bad to say about this school. SHe loved it as did I. All the teachers and the staff and principal are the best. ANy child would be lucky to go to this wonderful school.

My daughter was in Mrs.Salzmans class and she loved it everyday when she came home mom guess what I did in class today and everyday it was different.

We have only been at P.S. 107 Q for a short couple of months. The parent coordinator. Mrs. Malandrakis is wonderfull; and has been extremely helpful with the transition from our previous school to P.S. 107 Q. I see her outside every morning greeting the children and parents, and opening up car doors for the children to exit. In addition to Mrs. Malandrakis, the principal, Mr. Phair is often out there as well. I was impressed that he seemed to know each child by name. As far as academically, my son is always excited about attending school. Upon picking him up, he can't wait to tell me what he learned in his studies. That is an indication to me that the teachers are engaging him and making learning fun and interesting. Finally, I have to thank Mrs. Lyman, his teacher, for her stern yet caring ways. He is a lot more focused.

This is the best school ever! All the tachers are nice and care about the education of the students. They teache wonderful. They make learning so fun! The kids really learn alot. Mr.Phair knows mostly all students by their first name. Its a great school!

107 is very unorganized very chaotic during the morning drop off and afternoon pickup.

I was very disappointed by the lack of rigor at PS 107. The preschool program only taught social skills and going to lunch, did nothing with the alphabet, kindergarden lacked structured reading, my son learned to read because I taught him how using phonics books from the public library - his kindergarden teacher didn't even know he could read. His first grade teacher used the 'new superintendent's rules' as an excuse for not teaching kids how to write. Now he's in second grade and I guess it will be up to me to teach him because he's not getting it at this school.

PS 107 is a unique, wonderful school. My daughter had a wonderful experience last year and is now thriving and shining in Mrs. Kaufman's 2nd grade class. She has to be one of the most wonderful teachers. Keep doing what you do best everyone- a terrific job! Thank you! -PS 107 parent

PS 107 is one of the best schools in NY. My son is 7 and he is a hand full and PS 107 helped him get out the best of him. With patience, care, and hard work. I thank PS 107 staff for such great work .We are now moving to Florida and facing new chanllenges but thanks for the great advice of my son's teachers he will do well, and I will be there to support him. We will miss Mr. Pahirs cheesecake in the coming year carnival. Thank You all.

I am so proud of PS 107. My daughter is just finishing up her first year as a Kindergartener and she is reading beautifully. The principal, Mr. Phair is exceptional and so are the teachers. I couldn't ask for any better.

Well I also want to state a fact that at this time and age this is one of the most caring, responsible, understanding and professional schools that I might have been a part of. I was one of those parents that always was there and popped in and out of the building on regular basis and everything was always in place and in order. The staff starting with teachers all the way to school safety guards have always done a great job. I am still proud of this school and Mr. Phairs well done job. Know this coming Sept. 2004 I will rejoin the school again with my youngest son. Best wishes yet to come.

I am proud and honered that my son is in the school. Everybody on the staff is great especially the Principal Mr.Phair. He is simply a great human being who really cares about the school and the students. I will never forget nor will my son. Thank you 107!
