Junior High School 158 Marie Curie Reviews

I am an 8th grade student in MS158. I am doing very well in my academics. My teachers at MS158 are amazing. They do whatever it takes for the students to understand. They care so much about us. I feel that I am prepared for high school thanks to this school. In my experience, you have to be a student to understand why it's not a bad school. This year, in 2007 many of the 8th grade students have excelled than any other year!

A school where the teachers respect kids rather than just scream at them seems pretty good to me!

I do not have anything bad to say about MS158. My daughter is in the eighth grade now and she has been doing very well. Her text books are not old as mentioned in one review. She is on the honor roll and I really feel that she is well prepared for high school. I am thrilled with the after school program. I am very happy with MS158. I was sad to see Mr. D'Mato leave as principal.

M.S. 158 is a fairly bad school. It does not meed my standards of an excelling, quality school for aspiring and intellegent students. The teachers have little knowledge of teaching in their respective subject areas, and although they encourage parental invlovement, a small few control the politics of the school. Discipline is lax, as teachers would only say, 'Excuse me, ladies,' and of the like. Students are not adequately prepared for standardized tests, and the teachers are towards favoritism. Textbooks are in shabby conditions. Few people are helpful. Class sizes are far too big. M.S. 158 is a bad school I don't recommend.
