They have a nifty way of teaching math there that made both of them whizzes starting in Pre-K. If I had learned math that way, I could have been a CEO today. No kidding. Lots of earth science, conflict resolution, multicultural earth holidays, hands on learning, field trips and creativity here.” Posted By: parent Quality Score: 5 2008-06-12 “My daughter entered the Earh School after a trying 3 years at district 3's P.S.9. Although P.S.9 has a great reputation as far as academics, it is greatly lacking in everything else. Its all test prep. The Earth School on the other hand was a god send. They teach your children how to learn,(sounds funny right? ) they support them in all aspects of life and furthermore they teach them how to embrace community dispite color race and every hing else that seems to seperate us in this world we live in today. this school would rate a 10 if they had the monitary support they needed. The academics are taught in engaging ways, with more stress on individual improvement than testing or comparative scores. Parent involvement is probably second to none, with full time access and invitation to participate.”
